    I love the colors and style of this cat tree, but I’m disappointed in how thin the carpet is. The thin carpet doesn’t provide my cat with the same satisfying scratching surface as the old cat tree I had wanted to replace. That old tree is completely covered by the same thickness of carpet you’d put in your home, and all the exposed surfaces are covered. The underside of the flower and the underside of the platform under the flower aren’t covered, just exposed wood that looks like particleboard. My cat also likes to reach up to the underside to scratch and play, she can’t play that way with this tree. While it looks fun and stylish my can’t isn’t finding it as fun to play on. Debbie, We are sorry to hear you are not happy with your choice. There is no carpet on this item. As stated in the text on the product page this item is made out of "super soft, plush fabrics with durable jute ". There is no mention of carpet. The Jute will withstand the scratching and the Plush Fabric gives your cat a soft surface to lounge on.
