    This is a great, sturdy piece of furniture that will last for many years. I hesitated a bit because of the price, but I have been taking the attitude lately that you get what you pay for, so decided to take the plunge. I'm glad I did because my 3 cats love it. Anything you have to assemble yourself will almost certainly never be so solid. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the 3' of Sisal I paid an extra $80 for. The 3' is divided into two sections. The first one is from the bottom to the first platform which is about 22" The second one starts at top of post and goes down 13.5". That leaves 22" in the middle which is EXACTLY where my cats reach to for scratching and pull out carpet fibers all the time. It makes no sense to do it that way. There should have been an option to cover that entire post with sisal.
